I can’t believe that I was in the room with all these people at the exact same time. I am so humbled and honored to have been able to help bring the NSCAA/adidas Women’s Soccer Breakfast together (along with many wonderful people who really made it happen), so I wanted to share it with you.
From 8am-10am this morning we had the NSCAA/adidas Women’s Award Breakfast. Among the speakers were Al Albert (NSCAA President), Alejandra Buchanan (adidas), Mary Harvey (COO of WPS and former development officer at FIFA), Emma Hayes (Head Coach at Chicago Red Stars), Anson Dorrance (World Champion and 2008 National Champion at UNC), Lauren Gregg (World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist), and Tony DiCicco (World Champion and Head Coach of the Boston Breakers).
Also in the room were Pia Sundhage (Head Coach of the USWNT) and Jorge Barcellos (Head Coach of the Brazilian Women’s National team and Saint Louis Athletica).
More to come later (tons of photos!!!), but I’m headed off to introduce Coach Barcellos, as he is delivering a session called, “The Influence of Technical Work on Tactical Development.”
Stay tuned for more from the NSCAA Convention in St. Louis!
