NSCAA Convention – Day 1 Photos

Good news: I’ve taken a great deal of video footage from yesterday until today.
Bad news: I’m in a battle with YouTube at the moment (anybody else having troubles?).

Today was pretty crazy, and while I thought I was going to be able to magically appear in two places at once… well, it didn’t turn out that way. So, for this blog, I’m just going to give you the super-brief run-down of today’s events. Keep in mind that I’m on the NSCAA Board of Directors, I’m the Chair of the NSCAA Women’s Committee and I’m on the WPS league office staff… so there’s a lot of work to be done here this weekend.

Here’s Al Albert, president, speaking to the Board of Directors about the NSCAA Foundation.

9:30 AM – 10:00 AM NSCAA Board of Directors Breakfast – (Made that! I guess it’s not tough to make a breakfast starting at 9:30am though is it?)

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM NSCAA Board of Directors Meeting (All day meetings, but believe it or not the day was actually really fun! Boy do you learn a lot your first year on the Board.)

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM WPS Welcome & League Introductions (Luckily I was able to stop in here for a brief second, have some lunch, and meet everybody from the League. That was cool. Here’s a shot of Crystal Fukumoto from the Bay Area giving the run-down on their PR programming.)

2:45 PM – 4:00 PM Karyn and Amanda’s Web Update (I heard this went well, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to this! Karyn and I talked at length about what she was planning to talk about. I’m interested to hear the feedback from the members of the PR summit who were present.)

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Rob’s League Communications / PR plan (yeah, sorry Rob, couldn’t get away for this one either)

6:15 PM – 8:00 PM Dinner with BOG & League Staff (Dinner was great, and in fact it turned into a big WPS dinner-party. Beyond the Board of Governors and the League staff, there was representation from Jersey, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Atlanta… and that was just at my table!)

7:30 PM – 10:00 PM NSCAA Board of Directors Meeting

10:00 PM – 12:00 AM NSCAA President’s Reception

And to round out the night… a drink with my buddies Jeff L’Hote, Jim Houghton and Jack Cummins. I think as I’m typing this (1:42am) there is still a contingent in the President’s suite taking full advantage of the NSCAA-sponsored booze :-) … and who can blame them?
