Ok, so I really don’t have a plan for world domination. However, I would like it if people read my blog.

I wrote an email to Karyn Lush to introduce myself a few weeks back because I was trying to get an interview with a credible, tech-savvy person in the soccer industry to create value and drive readers to Soccer Science. Naturally, Karyn was the first person I thought of since I go to www.ooosasoccer.com on a regular basis and I read all of her articles on wps, espn, etc.

When Karyn wrote back to confirm my interview, she told me she had just taken a position with the WPS League office in San Francisco. Instead of a phone interview, we could now have lunch! My main topic of conversation with Karyn changed from www.ooosasoccer.com to the Women’s Pro Soccer League. In another conversation with Marcia McDermott, the GM at Chicago, we talked about why the main stream media isn’t picking up stories about WPS, and what it’s going to take to create buzz about the teams and the leagues.

What started as a wild idea has turned into a massive plan.

Over the coming weeks, I’m hoping to interview a number of women’s soccer executives, coaches, and administrators and post the interviews on my blog. We’ll see if my plan works, and maybe I’ll even be able to help create a bit of buzz about women’s soccer?!? (Helping to create a sustainable environment for women’s soccer is my heartfelt ambition.) Two birds, one stone.
